It’s amazing how easy it is to make your own hemp milk (and knock serious dollars off your grocery store bill). Bursting with plant-based omega-3 fatty acids and healthy protein (around 2 grams per serving), hemp is a creamy and delicious nut milk that we love. We make ours with maple syrup, but feel free to go sugarless — it’s just as delicious.
4 to 8 servings
½ cup raw hemp seeds
Pinch of sea salt
4 cups filtered water
2 Tbsp. maple syrup (optional but recommended)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional but recommended)
1. Place all ingredients into a blender.
2. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes.
3. Option to strain through a cheesecloth or stick with a creamier milk consistency.
4. Store hemp milk in refrigerator for up to one week. Separation is natural, just shake.
